Personal Experience
Working with Honolulu Habitat for Humanity allowed me to see how the COVID-19 pandemic affected businesses within Hawai'i. This project enabled me to learn more about an industry in Hawai'i that I had little to knowledge of.

The impact study provided me with an experience of adjusting to an unexpected change. At the time of the project, the COVID-19 pandemic was still at its highest impact (Fall 2020). This project was the first virtual project I participated in and was a great experience. It gave me a look into how collaborations and projects could evolve through Zoom and online communications.

Project Background
Honolulu Habitat for Humanity had a difficult time in understanding their impact within the community. This project aimed to examine the demographics and socioeconomic profiles of Honolulu. In addition, our team hoped to provide a deeper understanding of the current relationship between Habitat for Humanity and the community. Using the findings, our team conducted analyses to allocate relationships between different variables of measures. From our findings and results, our team was able to come up with three recommendations for Habitat for Humanity in regards to building the company’s awareness and increasing the engagement level.
